Alchemy Mahjong is a charming puzzle that proposes a new way of enjoying the classic Chinese game. The game follows the adventures of a dwarf called Hoppy, an alchemist and craftsman. His objective is to build jewels and gifts for the royal family, using the golden, diamonds, and precious stones earned when completing a level. He finds out that perfect timing is one of the keys to succeed in his task, so he will need your help to complete the puzzles as fast as possible.
The object of mahjong is quite simple; you need to match pairs of identical tiles so as to remove them from the grid, the only rule being that these should have at least one of their sides free. The point is to clear the entire board. Every level you complete will grant you an amount of gold or a jewel for you to work in your workshop and build the required item.
To the left of the screen there is a set of bottles with magical potions you can use while playing. One of these is the undo option, that can be used unlimitedly during a level. Clicking on the shuffle bottle will cause all the tiles in the board to be rearranged, thus giving you a new chance to complete the level. The three smaller bottles are hints, which will highlight matching tiles.
The game is suitable for adults and kids alike, but kids will particularly like the story and the lovely visuals.
